Moving the homelab backups to restic
Finally replaced the old rsync cron jobs. Deduplication cut the nightly snapshot size by about 70%, and restores are much easier to verify.
Finally replaced the old rsync cron jobs. Deduplication cut the nightly snapshot size by about 70%, and restores are much easier to verify.
Lower scale factors on the two busiest tables stopped the weekly bloat spikes. Writing down the numbers so I don't forget them again.
No framework, no database — just a JSON file and a template. Good enough for a few personal services.
